Dixon has a number of yearly activities. Cow Days began during the Great Depression and features live music, crafts, auctions, food and free cow drawings! Bluegrass festivals are held over Memorial and Labor Day weekends. The Saddle Club sponsors an annual horse show and the Lions Club holds a carnival and Christmas parade each year.
